Completed Autumn 2017
We're not keen on bungalows, perhaps because of the un-inspiring typology that exists within the urban landscape of today. When we were asked to design one we had to change our preconceived ideas and make a change for the better. Following planning approval in September 2014 we were appointed to carry-out building regulation and construction phase services for the builder.
The large contemporary design exploits the traditional bungalow form with an open plan, vaulted, main living space with large glazed areas on both the front and rear elevations. The increased daylight within the living spaces helps the building sustainable credentials, limiting the use of electrical lighting and increasing naturally heated living spaces through solar gain. The result is a truly unique bungalow located within the a Cambridgeshire village parish.
